In 2009 we joined the Apex Group who are a national company with sites also in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria. I was given the opportunity to run and own my own franchise at that stage with the Edwardstown Store.

•Our club has funded the first of ten borewells in the small village of Ram Nager, Nepal, a new settlement into which the Nepali Government placed 400 displaced households, following the disastrous flash floods and landslides of 2008/2009, in the remote region. The inhabitants are mostly bonded labour people and constitute a very poor community. To provide good water to the settlement, there are only a few deep water wells installed. The local men, women and children are forced to use unclean stream water for drinking or wait for long periods of time to get access to clean water at the few water hand pumps utilised by the whole village. Another nine borewells are planned in 2012/13 with the assistance of a Humanitarian Grant from The Rotary Foundation.
In addition to the above projects, we have recently supported the following organisations financially:
•ANZAC Day Youth Vigil.
•Sturt Police Blue Light Program.
•Blind Sporting Council.
•Mary Potter Foundation.
•Geraldine Cox Foundation.
•The Rotary Foundation.
